Closing down Xi'an is going to be a big loss of revenue for the city.

Understood that China lacks respect freedoms Americans do, and not nearly the amount of internal division and discord as has been sown by another foreign nation…but at a time of war isn’t it best that some freedoms be sacrificed?

China is at war with Covid, America is still not entirely convinced there is an enemy.

Willing to lose revenue to stop the spread of the virus.

Workers might be grateful not to work retail or other low wage job, at the risk of death. All understand the short term pain is for long term gain and people will spend again soon enough. America has already proven that as we speak.

8. Yes China is doing the right thing. Especially with the Olympics coming up.

China will have pumped a lot of money into the Olympics, and its national reputation is on the line, so it cannot allow a big out break of Covid to ruin it.
