NYC Mayor Eric Adams Incredibly Offensive 'Close The Door' Comments About Tragic Bronx Fire

After the Bronx apartment fire where 19 people died including children, NYC Mayor Eric Adams reminds people to ‘close the door’ since lives lost were due to smoke inhalation. The Majority Report crew discuss how the landlord of the apartment building had multiple violations such as faulty automatic doors, faulty sprinkler, and a malfunctioning fire alarm system. The crew expresses concern for New York City because of the way Adams has handled Covid at school and the Bronx tragedy.

And his "rake the forest" comments, to prevent forest fires. Maybe they know each other.

to close the door behind if the building catches on fire so it doesn't spread to hallways and stairwells. It's amazing how so many on Du seem to forget the TOS about not bashing Democratic public figures. Especially about bullshit like that video. I've alerted on the video.

There's nothing offensive about that statement.

6. In apartments, it is actually an important thing to know to slow the spread of fires.

Even when there are violations.

I was talking about the fire to friends (who work in the school some children who died in this fire attended, by the way). These friends are NYC born and bred and probably about the mayor's age. Apparently "close the door" was drilled into the heads of the kids that age in school. Along with the acronym R A C E, which I had also never heard. It's Rescue, Alarm, Contain, Extinguish if possible or Exit.

He's repeating what was taught to him in school as one of the most important things to do if you live in an apartment and there is a fire.

I have concerns about him, but this statement isn't one of them.

7. He didn't go up to the Bronx to speak for only about 40 seconds. Why doesn't "Majority Report"...

...include more of what he said? Would it contradict their negative take on those

They actually talked for 8 minutes about those 40 seconds.

to get Adams. So many seem to be so butt hurt he won the election that they forget he's a Democrat and this is Democratic Underground where we're not supposd to bash Democratic public figures...especially with such bullshit as this. Kids in NYC are taught to close the door in building fires so the fire doesn't spread to hallways and stairwells.
