My husband spent almost a week in ICU on a ventilator after he had uncontrolled seizures on Christmas Day. He has COPD, is vaxxed & boostered. He did not have Covid, but had a bacterial pneumonia and high CO2 levels that caused the seizures.
I spent many hours in the ICU & met families of Covid patients and the nurses & staff caring for them. If these sedated, unvaxxed idiots waiting to die could only see the pain they cause.

(48 posts)They are not like the unhelmeted motorcycle rider, who puts himself at risk.
They are like drunk drivers who think its all about themselves and their individual choices, until they kill that innocent family. You can mourn them, sure, but lets place responsibility where it belongs.
Not only did she choose her own disease, she likely directly infected others and encouraged other people to endanger themselves and the community.
Mockery is appropriate if she mocked others. I feel for her family.
But she died of her own bad choices and took a lot of other people down with her.

(6,699 posts)It actually brings joy to my heart when these dumb ass fools get hit, and hit hard with the Covid. Shame on me! Such a sad little man I am. After all, these idiots are being thinned out of the masses, and I have zero remorse with being happy to hear they are no longer above ground....especially those idiots who PROFESS their stupidity and convince their dim witted followers to take their insane advice.
Nope...I feel no remorse whatsoever. Sad...but then, they are sad. Too many are still walking upright, in my humble opinion. There...I've said it. Now, attack...those of you with nothing better to do, because I honestly don't give a shit.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
