(202,970 posts)She's always right on top of things and explains the issues clearly and simply - and doesn't suffer fools or devious witnesses gladly. I love to watch her put them in their place! (And her teacher was Elizabeth Warren!)

(4,670 posts)That people have $360 more each month this year the last year I find it hard to believe

(35,423 posts)Katie is a former law professor, and the one thing that professors do is check their figures and facts. There is no way she would have gone on national television and said that if it weren't so.

Everyone was harping about how the Dems didn't get the messaging right. This is how it should have been sold: that by investing, we save money.
The figure that made me the sickest was the one about how much we've spent on disasters--helping people whose homes have burned, flooded, etc. The sooner we get on that the better.
I'd like to see Manchin's face when confronted with a question that takes this into account.

(202,970 posts)I wish we could clone her a couple of hundred times! And it's been explained over and over exactly how these programs would work, but people just aren't listening - and the Republican members of Congress just don't care. The party of obstruction, we've seen that for years.

(51,367 posts)If you're not getting the new child tax credits, you're probably not seeing that much of an increase.
