(11,256 posts)I was a little nervous about the early reports about the lack of response in the 2-4 age range. However, upping the dose isn't a great option because that would push this out too far into the future - at the expense of any benefit of the lower dose. Hopefully three low dose shots will be the answer. And luckily we know that each low dose is safe, so it's entirely a matter of generating enough of an immune response.

(20 posts)Have any of you looked at how bad the stats are for the age 5-11 group for vaccinations in the US? 28.1% and that is it. What this tells me is that many liberal families, along with the GOP shit, are not getting their children in this age group vaxxed. I want to think positive here, but this is probably a trend that continues in the under 5 age group and probably far less get the vaccine. We can always hope, but it isn't just conservatives not getting their children vaxxed, it is clearly many liberals as well. I want to be wrong on this one....and I want this goddamn pandemic to end, but with flagging vax rates................who knows!
And I would like to know exactly how the scientists got around the issues widely reported last year about not very good antibody response in the under age 5 group. I am actually quite interested, and I would hope parents would be as well; I am not a parent for the record.
