that at some point the Jet Stream would become much thinner and less coiled, as the poles melt and there is no longer enough cold air to push back against the warmer equatorial air. Eventually, a hot, stifled planet, with most of humanity migrating further and further northward as equatorial regions become arid wastelands.

But gosh, no real, hard evidence of that scenario yet, eh?

if we don't dramatically change course, at some point the Jet Stream will come much closer to flat-lining which would result in a global scenario that can't be anything but catastrophic for humanity.

They didn't really press that point in the video, but the alarm bells are ringing.

If DU wants to delete I am fine with it. I am writing this because I think that eventually, climate change will really mess up this planet. What I am wondering is the U.S. and Canada are staunch allies. What happens if climate change destroys U.S. agriculture enough so people are starving, and helps Canada's agriculture so it doesn't have to import agricultural products but not enough to export to the U.S. The U.S. has problems importing from other countries. Would the U.S. invade Canada? The reason I am asking is I don't think countries have real friends. They have allies because it is beneficial and enemies because the other countries have what they need and can't get it from them. What the country does is examine the pros and cons of invading the other country. I believe that most countries are amoral when it comes to other countries and also certain people in their country. So if DU does not delete my post I would really like people to respond positively or negatively.

but if any nation is stretched too much by societal stress then governmental fabric begins to tear and global warming climate change; if not corrected will create unprecedented global stress.

All governments will be in trouble and there is really no way to predict how organized humanity will react if the worst case scenario happens but some dynamics are pretty certain, there will be massive climate refugee movements across most all borders, starvation and disease will be much more common and the chances for war between many nations will be greatly increased.

Having said that, I believe humanity still has the power to avert this global catastrophe but the window is closing and we need to act post haste.
