but I've always found Ron Reagan to be well-spoken and he is certainly correct here

But Ron, Jr. has always been a nice guy. Of course he has to defend his Dad, but Reagan changed the country from fair to elite vs. worker with his huge tax cuts. He is no hero.

Problem is by the time Reagan left the Whitehouse he could no longer function. That was clear! He could no longer follow a script.

Reagan started the system of lies that allowed trump to lie constantly. Reagan ran on the lie he would balance the budget, increase defense and cut taxes. At the time I asked what fool would believe this. America did believe it and Reagan continued to lie. Reagan allowed hospitals and healthcare insurance companies to be for profit. This single thing has cost this nation massive pain.
Reagan ran a secret war. Reagan tripled the national debt. Reagan destroyed unions when he broke the Air Traffic Controllers Union.
Reagan eventually did raise taxes. Which all republicans eventually do. That is the biggest lie which repukes still sell.
Reagan was a horrific shit show. But he could smile and America bought his bag of shit.

It is truly a shame that the truth no longer has value in America.

7. I like Ron, Jr., but I think on this question he has a bit of a blind spot . . .

I suspect Reagan, like most Republicans today, would have made whatever rationalizations to himself he needed to in order to get behind Trump.
