Republican Lawmakers Rebuke Trump By Funneling Money To Politicians He Hates - Ring of Fire

Donald Trump is trying to get roughly a dozen Republican lawmakers replaced this year with his hand-picked MAGA candidates, but that's proving to be more difficult than he thought. Not only are most of them winning right now, but they have been getting secret support from their Republican colleagues for the past year. A new report shows that 8 of these Republicans that Trump is targeting have received $380,000 in campaign cash from other Republican lawmakers, showing where loyalty actually lies in the Party. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what this means.

Right now Donald Trump is the RNC.

Anti-Trumper candidates have to get money from somewhere. $380,000 divided by 8 candidates isn't a whole lot, so they're going to need someone else to step up to the plate if they want to beat Trump's hand picked lunatics.

Morning, Rhiannon!

These voted to impeach tfg:

Liz Cheney R-Wyo.
Anthony Gonzalez R-Ohio

Jaime Herrera Beutler R-Wash.
John Katko R-N.Y.

Adam Kinzinger R-Ill.
Peter Meijer R-Mich.

Dan Newhouse R-Wash.
Tom Rice R-S.C.

Fred Upton R-Mich.
David Valadao R-Calif.

They were also in tfg's hit list (which includes probable R senators) at CPAC last year.

(7) Senate

Richard Burr, NC
Bill Cassidy, LA
Susan Collins, ME
Lisa Murkowski, AK
Mitt Romney, UT
Ben Sasse, NE
Pat Toomey, PA

(10) House

Liz Cheney WY
Anthony Gonzalez, OH
Jaime Herrera-Beutler, WA
John Katko, NY
Adam Kinzinger, IL
Peter Meijer, MI
Dan Newhouse, WA
Tom Rice, SC
Fred Upton, MI
David Valadao, CA

That they or their replacements are getting party funds sends the party message to tfg, who still thinks he's the Big Boss.

We don't seem to appreciate how much little things in our language matter.

It's stealth radicalization.

Don't give them credit by calling it a "rebuke". for staying quiet

They are trying to win more power to keep radicalizing.

Staying quiet and keeping power. It's the worst case scenario. It's all of the radicalization, and none of the transparency required to be voted out for being radicalized.

This is how democracies collapse. It's the worst case scenario.

they will keep it for decades, maybe generations. I got rid of my guns when I stopped hunting, I am considering arming myself now.

I don't see any signs that the insurrection is being stifled, it is growing. Trump doesn't need to run in 2024 for our democracy to be over.
