Even when he took part in that fly-on-the-head VP debate with Kamala Harris, he didn't speak for himself, only quoted TFG. And even if he's trying to stand up for himself (finally!) or finally do the right thing, thinking he might have another chance for elective office, he misjudged his audience since TFG isn't the only "Republican" going after him... 
Could that be his Al Capone moment?? Not to mention that he burned others...
But this s an individual who doesn't read, has no knowledge of laws and norms - let alone history - and has continually proven that he believes he's above the law. Why he's still living at a resort and not under federal indictment continues to be a mystery to me
