I thought about the Sopwith Camel/Jet analogy that I posted on the other thread and I don't believe it will take near as long to reach the jet age in robotics because of the Internet, increased global population and a more Industrialized world than we had at the turn of the 20 century.

It took approximately 15-20 years from the Sopwith Camel Age to the first jet in the early 30s.
