Judge Lays Down The Law With Annoying Sovereign Citizen

The sovereign citizen movement (sometimes abbreviated as SovCit movement or SovCits[1]) is a loose grouping of primarily American litigants, activists, commentators, tax protesters, financial scheme promoters and conspiracy theorists, who claim to be answerable only to their particular interpretations of the common law and to not be subject to any government statutes or proceedings, unless they consent to them.[2][3] In the United States, they do not recognize U.S. currency and maintain that they are "free of any legal constraints".[4][5][6] They especially reject most forms of taxation as illegitimate.[7] Participants in the movement argue this concept in opposition to the idea of "federal citizens", who, they say, have unknowingly forfeited their rights by accepting some aspect of federal law.[8] The freemen on the land movement, an offspring of the sovereign citizen movement with similar doctrines, is more commonly found in Commonwealth countries, such as Canada and Australia.[9][10][11][12] However, sovereign citizens as such have appeared in various countries. The sovereign citizen movement is one of the main contemporary sources of pseudolaw:[13] it may appeal to people facing financial or legal difficulties, or wishing to resist perceived government oppression, and looking for a mechanism that will solve their problems. Most schemes promoted by the movement involve means to avoid taxes, ignore laws, eliminate debts or extract money from the government.[3]

Sovereign citizens are nut cases who can be dangerous
Yes! They're completely convinced that they're victims. They see "tyranny" everywhere they look (even stop lights and speed-limit signs = TYRANNY!!) They're really squirrely and tightly wound. Paranoid. Delusional. Rude. Aggressive. Gullible and eager to believe every lie and conspiracy theory on youtube.

I saw an old Chevy on the freeway with a cardboard Sovereign Citizen "license plate". I laughed. But I kept my distance.

For them to successfully "stick-it-to-the-man" they must first be able to successfully get away with it and not advertise themselves. I'm sure there are many other more responsible things that they could do to feel as though they have some sort of meaningful and emotionally rewarding control over their lives. But their perpetual sense of victimhood and their animosity and hostility only ensures that everything they hate about their pathetic lives will continue on and get worse.

I've seen many of these videos. Most are entertaining and satisfying... only a few duds. But one thing I've noticed is that almost all of them appear to have memorized the exact same script and they all use the exact same buzzwords and phrases and emphasis. They repeat them over and over again as though it's some magic spell that gives them a free pass out of any legal situation they find themselves in. (Uh... correction/clarification: any legal situation they CREATE for themselves.)

It's just such a bizarre way for anyone to live their lives. I often feel like I'm watching a circus freak show. It's a trainwreck in slow motion that I can't stop watching.

Would love to see a video of her court appearance. Guessing she won't show up and the judge will issue a warrant for her arrest.

The judge mentioned that she is being charged with a felony so I can see why she might evade a court hearing.
