NC elections board says it can disqualify Rep. Cawthorn

NC elections board says it can disqualify Rep. Cawthorn from running over January 6

The North Carolina State Board of Elections said that it has the power to block GOP Rep. Madison Cawthorn from running for reelection over his role in the January 6 insurrection -- an open legal question at the center of liberal-backed efforts to disqualify him from future office.

Wouldn’t the same legal strategy (if it works) apply to County Commissioners who are 1/6 defendants?
Anyone know?

… is going to run again or not. His term is up. I asked a friend if any NM attorneys she knows would accept $300 to consider how to do the same for Couy Griffin. She said I’d be insulting any attorney for that.
If he doesn’t file in March, it’s moot.
