Why gun violence can't be our new normal

This TED Talk is a bit dated, back to the Obama years. Gun violence has gotten worse since then but it doesn't have to be this way. We can make a difference. Give to a gun violence prevention organization of your choosing: link

1. Our "new" normal? Seems like gun violence is now as American as apple pie.

We need to do something about it, but the political realities are daunting. It is clear that no massacre is heinous enough to budge conservative Americans, who are lower in numbers but control too many state governments and Congressional seats.

Now what's your excuse?

states where Democrats are already in the majority? Spending more money in Republican-majority states is unlikely to push the needle very far.

The battle for gun control is over. Gun violence will NEVER go away in America. Blessings to those who are impacted, that make it their life’s work to get some changes. It ain’t gonna happen. It IS who we are as a nation. Luck of the draw as to whether you’re ever affected.

If we all take on your attitude why not just get our arm tattoos now and beat the rush?

Nancy Greggs addressed this and it's a fucking shame we get so much negativity.

IT CAN CHANGE IF PEOPLE JUST GET OFF THEIR ASSES AND OPEN THE GODDAM WALLET.
