The key lies in increasing regular access to rink facilities and organized leagues for young amateur and student players. Football and soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and gymnasia are commonly available for students across this country, rinks much less so.
Hockey is the only pro sport I pay any attention to anymore because I think it's more fun. It's sad to even think that the rarity of Black players could be a reason for anyone to enjoy the game.
