My father was born in 1923, but fortunately not in Russia.

Interesting also that South Korea has a bigger GDP than Russia, despite having about 1/3 the population

Populations and GDP In 2020:
Russia: 144 million, 1.48 T$
S.Korea: 52 million, 1.63 T$

Russia is a lot of barking for a small dog. Given their natural resources, imagine the possibilities without kleptocracy and the world's second largest military, draining and exhausting most everything they produce.
