I added that - since they really were Colbert's musical guest and they did play that song - since I thought it was extremely appropriate considering current news. And I couldn't help wondering if Stephen Colbert thought so, too...

And I remember 1986 for a reason, too. That's the year I visited the USSR with my grandmother and her peace group, we met with other peace groups and saw the country. We were actually supposed to go to Kiev, but Chernobyl happened. And I'm thinking of those dedicated folks today...

I remember the 24 hours of war on the news. Bombs dropping and the terror of war. I hope no one is in the same place now, if so, they get the help they need.
