This is a major international event but all the attention and coverage it is getting is distracting us from needs at home. Unmet needs, midterm elections, coverage of Trump's misdeeds and legal troubles seem to be all on the back burner now. People living in tents in our cities, struggling families and the Republican war on education should be having our attention. All swept away in the excitement of war, now that football season is ending. Where is the story about what we Democrats want to do for our country?
