At the end he says Putin might be betting the the far reaching economic effects will hurt the resolve of the US and Europe. He thinks Putin will be wrong. I’m not so sure. A lot of Americans might decide it’s not worth it if prices go up and the stock market goes down. It does sound like Russia has a lot more options than a nuclear war and the fighting and casualties may soon be very extreme.
