that lies as much as robme. He realizes (from his crooked "business" experience, I think) that currently in America, perception is reality.

He can lie at his stump and if journalists do bother to fact check, most people will never read or watch the truth. So they leave believing his lies and most never learn the truth. IMO, this period in American history will be viewed similar to the "dark ages" in world history.

The man just has no shame and the media is hiding so much of his lies it just makes me sick. People are going to be so unhappy if he's elected president and destroys our economy and constitution. They would be sayin gof him, like they now do of Rick Scott in FL, "however did he win, no one would vote for that creep".

Sorry for the downer, the polls are really getting me worried today.

10. The Italians?

Oct 2012

I had to check because this is the first I'd heard that Jeep was owned by Italians. There's a Chrysler dealership 500 yards down the street from me and they still sell Jeeps there, so I feel stupid even checking, but I see it's still a wholly owned subsidity of Chrysler.

Romney was wrong on the very essence of his statement, let alone that they plan to move production to China. Anything he says is now suspect if he can't even get basic, easily checked facts right.

I listened to his stump speech today and he made several points I know to be untrue, such as Obama's tax increases, lower employment figures, and how Obama inherited a healthy country that was his gift from God.

I see the last 10 days of Romney's campaign will be a series of hail mary passes in hopes of flooding the fact checkers with pure volume.

but not the sole owner.

Here's the article Mittwit must have read:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-21/fiat-says-china-may-build-all-jeep-models-as-suv-demand-climbs.html

Chrysler, which entered an alliance with Turin, Italy-based Fiat as part of its U.S. government-backed bankruptcy, is relying on growth in China to counter weakness in Europe’s auto market. The automaker is targeting 500,000 annual sales outside North America by 2014, more than triple its overseas deliveries in 2009.

Chrysler currently builds all Jeep SUV models at plants in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. Manley referred to adding Jeep production sites rather than shifting output from North America to China.

Another F for Mitt.

Shame it has to be on the maddow blog, to some CNBC automatically means the information is classified as "liberal opinions" and not facts. Then again, people only believe what they want to believe anyways; if that wasn't the case then no one would vote for Mitt. IMO the Obama campaign should keep a tally and be very public about it.

Romney is trying to lie about a Chrysler success story and trying spin the lie to help him with low information voters.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-05-22/jeeps-sell-for-189-750-as-china-demand-offsets-tariffs.html

Obama has tried to do something to help Jeep and American carmakers in general trying to sell in China.

U.S. Jeep production is not moving to China. And Jeep is owned by Fiat, an international company, not by the "Italians." Allowing Fiat to own 52% of Chrysler meant the U.S. government got all their money back with interest. That should make Romney the businessman happy. Once again Romney tries to turn a silk purse into a sow's ear.
