4. In the twelve years since Election 2000, NOTHING has been done about electronic voting machines.

Now they are much more firmly entrenched. Still nothing. No outrage about hanging chads on paper ballots. Nothing to get our elections back to honest counts. No getting rid of the Electoral College and electing the POTUS by popular vote, as with all other elected officials. Am I the only voter that finds this seriously wrong?

it would be a fair vote. At least I agree with Biden that the twin chicken/egg pairing is getting money out of politics/election reform. Unfortunately so little has been done that the fraud is evident by its overflowing into broad daylight where suddenly, law enforcement even has to get involved- on a case by case don't connect the dots basis. And the DOJ tackles big legislative issues of voter suppression on the slow court route.

The logjam of ALL commonwealth issues, never mind actual progress, never mind real world physical crises of species threatening proportions, would be unleashed by fair vote, true information media forums.

It wouldn't be instant utopia just a chance at real responsibility. I suspect the machine scare is just another not too subtle attempt to depress the non-Romney vote. Threats, despair, fear, bullying. No cop on the playground.

The most important thing is the voting and counting should be transparent, verifiable and secure. Which it is not now.

Privatized voting systems are bad, but government-run voting can also become corrupt without transparency and openness.

have been screaming for years about this issue. Our DOJ has been totally ineffective for four years,more concerned about the WEED than real criminals whom are stealing our basic freedoms. We have to take the real culprits to task witch is the Oligarch Class. While most people are watching Dancing with the Stars,these F's have been screwing you blind.

When the U.N.is sending in Observers,Christ Sakes wake to F up. This means or nation is in deep sh*t. They know the real score that these machines have been hacked and the only way is for the people to show up in mass to blow up the Algorithms.

to this being impossible and even controlled. Internet voting is still being advanced as usual, for years, to control "overseas" and military ballots.

What is your one man one vote actually worth lost in the average of falsified tallies? Nine tenths? Eight tenths? Of course if yours is one of the stolen votes you get a full vote against your real choice. -1 vote.
Factor in people duped, coerced, voting against the interests of democracy, purged, prevented from voting
what is the impossible to verify stat? Half a justifiable vote?

These are not elections. These are handicapped frauds where we war fro the scraps of democracy against ever more monstrous, unimpeded predators like Romney.

I'm in a university town where our great college coordinator has registered the second largest number of new voters (all parties) in the state (PA). I've been phone banking and calling these newly registered voters. If college students are any indication, President Obama has it in a landslide. No wonder the Republicans were trying to disenfranchise college voters.

Because Americans don't really mind broken machines. They don't really care if their vote is counted correctly or NOT. And when you don't care, you can bet it's NOT counted correctly.

Even Democrats must be gaining something from these rigged elections otherwise, I think Democrats would have done something about them in the last 4 years.
