Thanks for posting this! Very informative on what Russia is, and what the West is.

It says so much, not only about Russia, but about dictatorships everywhere and why the US needs to stop propping them up.

Depriving Russia of US technology will slowly strangle them, depriving them of parts for what they do have is a necessi

Another good idea is stocking up on things like long underwear. Europe is going to have to cut off the oil and gas spigots and that means we're going to have to make up the difference.

And I’m sure I will again. Two heavyweights at work here, Kotkin and Remnick. Kotkin’s economy with language is amazing. It’s rare to hear so many big ideas so cogently explained.

I also love the pace of his speaking; scholarly rat-a-tat. And Remnick is a perfect conversation partner for him.
