He might see them as working class, but only because paying for heat in places like Buffalo and Kenosha didn't leave them enough disposable income to live like a former Republican potentate. They were quite solidly upper middle class,with portfolios to supplement the Social Security, and the sale of the paid for house up north allowed them a house with pool and maybe a small fishing boat in Florida.
They don't live where Wilson does, they live in what I call the carport district, since that's where they spent most of their time because the central AC was just too expensive to use in the house.
About the only working class people who moved there were people who'd gotten jobs at or around the theme parks during the tourist season and were kept on year round.
By the way, remember that name, Christina Pushaw. Her bio page is nearly blank, the woman guards her secrecy rabidly. Even her age is only an estimate, based on her years at U of SC. I think she looks a bit older, with collagen lips and absolutely dead eyes. Whatever the Democrats do in 2024, they have got to make a concerted effort to get her out of politics.
