Related: About this forumArt depicting women in the aftermath of illegal abortions by Portuguese artist Paula Rego
Such a divisive issue isn't a popular subject for artists so i found this interesting and important to see.
Paula Rego is a Portuguese-British visual artist ... Her work often reflects feminism...
The abortion series, which depicts women in the aftermath of illegal abortions, was so powerful it's been credited with influencing the public to campaign for a second referendum, in 2007, after which abortion was finally legalised in Portugal.

Women's Rights And Issues? Thanks in advance.
powerful, heartbreaking images.
I would say that all the woman-haters on the courts and in congress should be made to stare at these for a week straight. . but they would probably enjoy it.

It's a subject that is so hidden behind closed doors. You never see images like this.

Gerri Santoro, which haunts me to this day.
