The extremely high temperature of operation would seem to make it a natural for molten salt technology, and a way of putting nuclear power into areas that are short of water...or have no water.

Still, it's something to think about if we don't blow ourselves up first, in which case humanity will be so depleted that electricity generation will be the least of our problems.

We will have internally displaced people long before any of this is up and running. Or maybe by that time, we'll have figured out a totally decentralized way to generate power. What we're doing now won't work for much longer.
