It will be bad in both red and blue areas. Worse in red of course, but never mind the distinction.

If no funding, then we haven’t seen the worst of the pandemic yet, in my prediction.

We all know the basic scenarios.

I have two friends who recently tested positive for Covid, both fully vaccinated. The county just south of mine had the highest Covid rate in the state, last I read, but it's now spreading south to New York City. And though New York is hardly 100% vaccinated, we have a higher vaccination rate than southern and midwestern states. Like the doctor said, this is far from over.

…that when we give up on basic covid precautions, we’d get an outbreak?

Something I’m seeing in my circle lately is people who have recently either been outright exposed to covid or been to an event such as a wedding and now have a “cold.”
