George Carlin documentary on HBO.

Watched last night. It's an excellent, yet painful telling of his life's story.

His brother Patrick was featured in the doc. He died last month.

I saw Carlin in person just one time in 1999. He was an equal opportunity insulter. And he laid into the left for actually trying to do what he complained wasnt being done. Especially over the Environment. Too bad he didn't live to see Obama elected. In my mind had he died 1/21/09, he'd have been more at peace.

I just spent 4 hours today watching that doc. I’ve always loved Carlin and love him even more now. And… I have way too much free time.

Carlin's career is paralleled to the America he shared about ... a biography and history lesson rolled into one.

Excellently produced. Directors Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio hit a home run with the bases loaded.

Still streaming on HBOMax as of February, 2023.

I saw Carlin live twice: once in Cleveland, just after Class Clown was released (1973), and in Las Vegas (1997). I first became aware of him -- really aware -- when I heard FM & AM for the first time at age 14. It changed my life.
