So fucking depressing that we can't deal with this at a national level....because 50% of this country supports this carnage.

The problem can be handled - lots of countries have.

Cop knocked on the door to announce my son died, it was an oxycontin overdose.
Every unnecessary death is a tragedy. Some more personal and impactful than others.
You don't 'cope' with it, but you learn to live with it, after several years.
Lots of sad faced people.
Not many taking action to make sure that sadness isn't repeated.
