We should just be doing something. We keep putting this on the children. I feel like we keep punting to those younger instead of doing what should be done.

It's up to the leaders in this country to make schools safe for children - they cannot be expected to protect themselves and it's a ridiculously unfair burden to place on teachers. They're there to teach and kids are there to learn, no one attending school should have to worry about fighting for their lives.
