'He helped decode Mark Medows' texts. What he found scared him.' (Original Post) Joinfortmill Jun 2022 OP
This is the third time this video has been posted. nt TexasTowelie Jun 2022 #1
Maybe DU could implement a "Potential Duplicate" warning? erronis Jun 2022 #3
It doesn't require a Google search to find duplicates. TexasTowelie Jun 2022 #4
Right. But duplicates can be posted in other folders also. erronis Jun 2022 #5
I don't have any issue with threads being posted in multiple forums or groups (aka cross-posting). TexasTowelie Jun 2022 #6

As I've duplicated in other posts - it is a PITA to search for previous entries using the google search machine.

Simply click on the Video & Multimedia folder on the left sidebar. That will provide a list of posts in the V&M forum. Click Title of discussion thread and the threads will be alphabetized. Most of the users post the thread title while others may preface the title with the media source such as I did here:

Beau of the Fifth Column: Let's talk about the Trump Train rolling on....

Obviously, it helps if the author puts that actual title of the video as it appears on YouTube rather than being creative. Duplicates will still occur, but it should at least reduce the frequency.

I would think that a site-wide duplicate search would be better than one that is just for specific forums.

I cross-post threads myself--for example, a topic like "Rio Grande River water supply in jeopardy" could be posted in the New Mexico Group, the Texas Group, and the Environment & Energy group.

The reason I made the comment is that it is the third time this video clip was posted in the V&M forum.
