I think his heart is in the right place. Working class manufacturing communities have absolutely been screwed over by outsourcing. But that's not the whole story. Automation and disruptive technologies has also made a lot of jobs obsolete and you cannot prevent a disruptive technology from coming on the market, nor would you want to. Would you have stopped the automobile to keep the buggy whip industry in business?

The question is and I'm sure he will address it is how do we ensure those people who lose their jobs do the new technology still have the means to provide for their families.
