7. Swearer. A truly horrible human being.

Swearer had said at a prior hearing that the 2019 proposed assault weapons ban would "turn millions of Americans into felons overnight." But as Swearer now acknowledged to Porter, that ban would explicitly allow those who had the weapons to keep them. Swearer made some bullshit excuse that she was referring to the owners' inability to sell the weapons to others. But that does not turn the owners into felons overnight. They would have to make the conscious, intentional step of selling their weapon "overnight" after the ban was passed, and even then, they are not felons until convicted of that sale. Swearer clearly lied.
