2. Also, as he pointed out, wear shorts, tank tops, forget the bra, and don't wear socks --

wear sandals. Shoes and socks trap heat. Water is important but electrolytes are equally important! Also salt is necessary to maintaining the potassium balance. If you're going to be home forget about grooming -- wet your hair often and don't dry it.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Keep your dogs and cats indoors and, if you have outside animals, i.e. horses, pigs, donkeys, goats, hose them off and let them dry naturally. If you have fans, install them where these animals can stand after being hosed off. In this heat animals need not only lots of water but electrolytes also.

3. WHAT IF we built HUGE WIND TURBINE BUILDINGS to catch the heat and use it for power?

So like a skyscraper with a "WIND TUNNEL" built in the middle, sucking the heated air from the top and pull cooler air from the bottom to make the turbine spin and power the building.

OR EVEN ADD THIS KIND OF TURBINE in city zones where the buildings make a natural wind tunnel anyway, but focus on pulling in the hottest air from the top and using heat capture to pull the heat out of the atmosphere and USE it, maybe even simple steam heat.

4. Go soak your head

I'm not being facetious here, Cold water on your head feels great and wet hair cools you down for a while, especially if you let it drip.

I live at altitude, so it generally doesn't get as bad as the rest of the southwest and so far, it's a typical June. This is the hottest month out here with maximum sun and minimum water. It is a lot easier to cope with heat in the lower triple digits when the humidity is under 10%. Florida and much of the southeast will likely start seeing fatal wet bulb temperatures, when sweat doesn't evaporate and body temperature climbs.

Also, stay away from plastic clothing, that shit doesn't breathe. Even blends are miserable.

I'm coping just fine with a small fan and a wet head. I'm also packing up to move next Wednesday, so I'm working hard in this heat. I think I'd be a total blob if there was much humidity.
