Sometimes I wish I could still be like that - 9/11 woke me up - but I've gotten to the point where I need to know what's really going on, good or bad, so I'll never be blindsided again.

During the Iran/Iraq war. And the questions about why Iraq?? And the discussions about how the Iraqi people - especially children - were paying the price. Someone here had posted a photo of a little Iraqi boy launching a tiny boat in the water during a peace gathering. And the night of Shock and Awe I kept thinking of that little boy, wondering if he was alright or whether he was scared.
