It looks bad to indict, prosecute and imprison a former president anymore. Is he above the law or is he not? France did it to two of their former presidents, Sarkozy and Chirac. Sarkozy was sentenced to time and Chirac's two years were suspended. But they were presidents first, then convicted.

Seditious conspiracy occurs when two or more people in the U.S. conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the U.S. government, or to levy war against it, or to oppose by force and try to prevent the execution of any law. Conviction of seditious conspiracy means 20 years behind bars.
