Letting them get off with their crimes without jail time is part of the reason we're in our current situation. I realize that Agnew's crimes were basic corruption, and that Nixon's crimes were far worse. But by letting them resign and walk away without punishment sent the message that wealthy and politically connected men are above the law. That was a big mistake IMHOP. Thank you for this post.
