(9,998 posts)We'll see whether there are any consequences, other than perhaps getting elected to another term, if he decides not to come in and testify.
I'm guessing that if he does, he'll take the 5th on just about everything.
Criminal Charges might be a good idea, if there's any fire behind this smoke, but I won't hold my breath.
Justice matters.

(31,007 posts)They couldnt exactly say they saw suspicious activity and didnt do anything about it. Did Loudermilk say he didnt get the letter from the committee? I dont believe him. We all know what tourists taking photos looks like and this isnt it. The guy shooting the pic of the stairwell should be subpoenaed. Where these people signed into the visitors log?

If I had any say, I would call in the Capitol police person/persons who claimed they saw nothing suspicious in the tour. Hold the Capitol police's feet to the fire. Peter Strzok, former FBI, watched the video and determined that the tour was suspicious. I want to know the names of the Capitol police who Laudermilk claims cleared him.
This should all be taken care of by DOJ/FBI but investigating Laudermilk would appear partisan.
