TV is getting more expensive...damn!

I have a cable package with HBO.

With the advent of streaming channels, there is less reason to keep it....but it can easily nickle and dime me.

Peacock (has a couple of cute things) will no longer be free with Comcast.

MLS announced a contract with Disney+ that will take my local team off of local cable channel.

I live on the wrong side of a mountain to get broadcast television or radio. I may downgrade my cable to the local channel bundle while re-directing those dollars to streaming channels on a rotating basis.

Why are you telling people to steal cable programming?
It's simple, if you can't afford something, go without. If it's important enough to have it, pay for it.

I am mostly streaming, but services are offering bundles now that makes sense.. For example, Hulu offers a bundle with Disney+ and ESPN... Paramount+ bundles Showtime and CBS live. HBO Max is bundled with my AT&T bill.. I am definitely saving money over when I was paying for these services individually... And, it's more flexible than DVR or watching live broadcasts.

I have not used a cable box since 2018... I rent a section of a house, and pay the internet portion of the bill. However, the only thing I watch live really is MSNBC via MSNBC app on my Apple TV.. However, this only works because my landlady still uses cable boxes that include MSNBC in the cable package.
