I'm grateful that she's back to cover these history-making hearings - and she actually broke the story of the "fake electors" so it's great that she's reporting when it's receiving national attention in the hearings, along with the rest of the revelations we're hearing now.

It ought to be. It’s so much worse than anything else I can think but I don’t have much faith in our generation. Certainly the rethugs will do their best to crowd it out of our minds. They’ll be foaming at the mouth yelling about inflation. Well, inflation is a big deal but nothing really new. However I’d venture a large part of Americans don’t consider how close we’ve come to losing our democracy-republic, whatever you want to call it. They don’t seem to realize or care that prior to about 250 years ago there’d never been anything like the US and we could easily lose it.

We came so close to losing our democracy and our country - yet there are those who are so besotted, what happened is perfectly fine with them. And almost as bad are those who are disinterested, don't bother their "beautiful minds" with following what's going on that could affect everything that they truly hold year. It's those we need to reach, GOTV is as important this time around as it's ever been. And we can only hope that DOJ will step in after the horrific and frightening revelations from the hearings and clean up some of the mess so we won't have to stake the future of our democracy on November.

Just like a petulant child if you don't get the point across that what they did was wrong, and is punished for it they will repeat the act. In this case a crime.
The punishment should fit the crime.
YMMV
