(5,519 posts)How would you know if they guy really took it?
Would his fingers turn purple??
Wouldn't it be more dangerous to his body because it would be tantamount to swallowing spermicide....?

(16,375 posts)An "oops I forgot to take one of my pills this month" moment has a different meaning for a man than it does for the women involved. Do I have to spell it out?

(2,340 posts)The need for abortions to save the life or health of the mother in a wanted pregnancy is a MAJOR problem with abortion restrictions.
(In the 50s, one of my mother's friends became sterile after a fetus died in her womb and the doctors refused to remove it.)
Also, natural miscarriage is VERY common and will be so easily criminalized that women will hesitate to seek proper medical care.
I'm totally for abortion for any reason, just to be clear. I just think the complications and risk of pregnancy don't get enough attention in the debate. Abortion is way safer than carrying to term, and no country with the maternal and infant mortality rates we have should be getting away with forced pregnancy.
I know I'm preaching to the choir. I appreciate how this community has been speaking together on this. It helps.
