Putin's spy: CIA hunt for most destructive spy in US history Former CIA agent Robert Baer

With war in Ukraine the eyes of the world are on Vladimir Putin and questions abound now about what he wants, his motives. But should the authorities in the West have been asking these questions with more rigour long ago? If they had could his rise have been stopped. It’s something one former CIA Agent has been asking as he tries to solve a long unknown mystery - that of uncovering the so called Fourth Man, a KGB spy in the top ranks of the CIA who may have played a part in blinding the US to the rise of Putin and the Bellicose Russia we see today.

Former CIA operative and Security Analyst for CNN Robert Baer joins me now. Author: The Fourth Man: The Hunt for the KGBs secret mole and Why the US overlooked Putin.

Baer has a chilling prediction for the U.S. at about 10:30 into the video.

But I pretty much read what he's said in ALL of Malcolm Nance's books the past several years.

Nance said when he put out this 'challenge' to russia/putin by fatso about Hillary Clinton, "Russia, if you're listening," he knew this country was in for it. He knew it way before, but really knew it 1,000% at that point.

when a cursory reading of post-WWII intelligence history speaks to the complexity of techtonic geopolitical shifts. Was Washington so insular as to be misled?

I think that an incremental infiltration has been ongoing over time. Some are found out and some carry on. Hopefully they will be found soon.

Great damage has been done by them.

In his administration, and cronies of his has sold classified information to putin. DOJ was also corrupted , and maybe still has spies in it. Maybe why the AG is moving so slowly with things.
