(258,780 posts)A few years back, I was walking out of a meeting with a woman I knew who had held a meetup for one of our Democratic Congressional candidates and, of course, we started cringing about TFG who was still in office at the time. And the two women behind us, who I'd known and liked for years, started saying to each other that they watched Fox "News" all the time, that was what they paid attention to...

(7,794 posts)Not sure how to deal with that in any effective way. My sister is very active in Democratic politics back home. We were talking generally about propaganda and I mentioned that Al Franken had been railroaded. She responded that she tried to avoid "blame shaming". I was flabbergasted. Apparently misinformation is available to anybody.
