Guns are a close call in Texas. There are a lot of things republicans have been getting away with that send out tax money to millionaires and harm children and wreck our natural resources and ruin lives. republicans have been messing with Texas and Texans for decades.

He also believes that women have the right to make decisions about their own bodies and that the power grid needs to stand up to winter weather. But you're right, he also believes that children need to be safe when they go to school. Five of the of the worst mass shootings have taken place in Texas in the last five years on Greg Abbott's watch, so something needs to be done. And then there's the voting rights question...

I've been stuffing the envelopes and canvassing for some time. I've been in his camp since his first run for Senate.

Yes, he mentions other stuff, but he's still known for his gun stance. He already has all the votes that will get him in Texas. A good target would be campaigning on Ercot and the way a few oil company execs control it because Abbott supports them. How about telling how Abbot spent $12 million to ship immigrants north. Now those states get the support money and the jobs that those immigrants represent. How about Abbott's waste of money sending the National Guard to the border to lose time with their families so that Abbott could get a photo op.

He polls well with liberals already. He needs to hit issues that moderates care about - money and security. Half the people I talk with just want to lump him in with bit spending. I point out that the money Abbott saves with his support for Big Oil and Insurance only goes to a few billionaires.

Something does need to be done, but he has to be elected first.
