Fox News called Ohio for Obama, Karl Rove challenged the decision on-air, causing what can only be described as a kernel panic. Fox News' decision desk, its institutional center of authority for making sound election calls, had issued its decision. And Fox News, in its capacity as a newsgathering operation, had called the election for Obama. But Karl Rove, Fox News' ideological paymaster, challenged the decision. So Megyn Kelly got out of her anchor chair, walked down the hall, and interrogated her own highly trained election analysts on Rove's behalf.

(151 posts)what a bunch of journalistic asswipes.
Between Romney's not conceding when the polls (all of them but one) for weeks before the election had Obama winning, and now this fucking stunt, and the mere fact that they 'rehearsed it' is both a sad state of fox news, but more importantly shows just how dishonest and in denial their lying candidate and the lying journalists that supported Romney.
it feels like we would have been invaded by a bunch of lying half dead white men zombies that would have ushered in a truly horrifying version of 1984 on steroids with the cute white women as their slaves..
Go cry in your boubon boys.. Our boy one so go home and stop spewing that journalistic trash on American TV sets.

(488 posts)this time, but I think they figured that good old-fashioned fraud was a tactic past its use by date and too apparent so they went with suppression and intimidation.More subtle, less effective because the individual and the collective electorate can overcome that with persistence.

Her questions about 2004 was also completely disingenuous as well.

(8,021 posts)Four reasons:
1. They magically have cameras in place to cover her walk down the hallway.
2. The aforementioned "when we practiced this" bit.
3. The lighting in the back room is *way too bright* for actual work, but perfect for TV.
4. The guys doing the counting are all in suit jackets. If it was me working there, there's no way I'd be wearing a jacket.

(50 posts)Your very first point I noticed instantly and was wondering how/why they would have had a camera pre-positioned in front of her if this was such an impromptu action.
Then when she says the "when we practiced this" bit, I said, "ahhh showbiz"
