My whole life the Republicans have used very shallow, one issue voters to try and win elections. By harnessing their singular, focused passion they have always been able to get them to support a corporatist agenda that worked against their own best interest. Trump brought these people out of the woodwork. Dumbfuckers of the world unite. Trump is this political oscillator that is amazing. I don’t think that any other Republicans can harness that demographic like he can. That is why the republicans put up with him.
