(53,544 posts)Such a concerned gentleman.
By the way, he is such a truly awful candidate that republicans are just running anti Maggie Hassan ads here in New Hampshire, rarely even mentioning their candidate. Probably hoping that no one will notice what a nutter their candidate is and just check the box for the 'republican'.

(53,544 posts)to just vote a straight republican or Democratic ticket. Many may not even know who he is or what he stands for, but he's not a Democrat and not Maggie Hassan.
Right now, both our senators and our congressional representative are Democrats AND they are all women, which is a plus. Somehow, state and local politics often end up republican though.
Since I've lived here (2010), we have mostly had Democratic governors and our two senators were governors at one time. Still the legislature tends to be controlled by republicans. For some strange reason, we have the largest legislature in the United States (after the U.S. Congress), but we only have 1.3 million people. My ballot is rather strange - "Vote for no more than six" for State Representatives, but only four of them are Democrats.

(8,386 posts)I forgot that part. I hope Bolduc gets his ass kicked at the polls!
And we know this because these men tell us it is so - God told them. Everyone knows that God doesn't talk to women, that is usually the devil.

It might have been confusing.
Besides some Viagra might put a smile on his face. He looks like a bit of a sour puss.
Wish I could vote against him.

(4,405 posts)ALL my life. The men in my life have said stupidly "you're supposed to agree with me cause you're my wife"! They did destructive stupid shit while I worked hard, kept house and raised kids. They yelled me right out of their lives. I'm the one still alive, healthy, have my own house and car, and still vote on my own. Fuck this stupidity!

(22,876 posts)he was asked an either/or question: should laws banning or allowing abortion (paraphrasing slightly) be decided at the state or federal level? And he picked state, because as a Republican would-be state lawmaker, he OF COURSE wants the state legislature to have ALL the power to regulate (i.e. ban the hell out of) abortion without any interference from those pesky blue states. Do we actually expect him to have the imagination to come up with a third option (i.e., treat women like sentient adults and gtfo of our personal health care decisions)?
*sarcasm off*
I'm pretty sure no on here said "yes" to the above question, because this is a REPUBLICAN we're talking about, and we all know what that means. As a Republican, the last thing he would EVER do is suggest that maybe lawmakers at every level should consider treating women like adults who are capable of making their own decisions about important stuff and butt tf out. So he gave exactly the answer I would have expected him to give to that question.
Why? Because he's a paternalistic Republican pos, and that is what they do.
