For myself, it has been way beyond the time to do something. I want to think they are just making a solid case but it seems beyond bizarre.

(255,525 posts)How will it be taught in schools? If it had been the plot for a movie, it would have been rejected because it's just too unbelievable. One side fighting for democracy and the other attacking it with lies and violence. If only we had another Ken Burns to document this story...

(255,525 posts)Lawrence O'Donnell said todays revelations should result in Obstruction of Justice and attorney Paul Butler believes the evidence proves a violation of the Espionage Act. This needs to resolved soon, it's already gone on way too long and has been tearing the country apart.

(1,884 posts)As we would like to see Trump indicted yesterday for the Mar-a-Lago records situation it's probably best if Garland waits until after the midterms. If he doesn't, of course, he'll be accused of pulling a Comey right before the election and we know the Republicans are going to scream bloody murder, so election wise it's probably best to just let it sit until after the midterm elections.
If Garland indicts now, it could create enough of an uproar amongst the independents ( that can be squirly for all kinds of reasons), as you know trump will scream about a witch hunt, etc. so with it being as close as it's going to be in more than a few races, best for the Democrat side to just sit tight for now.
