GOP Rejection Of Democracy Leaves Force And Violence As Remaining Governing Option - Rachel Maddow

Rachel Maddow argues that as Republican leaders discredit elections and encourage the abandonment of democracy, the option they are tacitly endorsing for how to run a government is force and violence, a value seen in the reactions of many Republicans to the attempted murder of the husband of the speaker of the House. - Aired on 10/31/2022.

5. I'm not sure what you mean, I just go with the captions provided so folks will know what it's about

(Unless, of course, there's a typo or mistake which hasn't happened with Rachel Maddow. Her videos are always the last to be available, as you can see from the times.)

6. No issue with your post at all. It's seemed that MSNBC never posts her opening statements in full,

just highlights.

I saw her whole show live, but I keep forgetting that the full shows don't show up on YouTube later, which is frustrating. So I just used some off-brand posts to review her full opening about what led up to her statement on "the choice." I just asked if you'd mind because in the first 2/3 of her opening, her proofs of rethugs' plan to end elections are so well put together as to look like a definitive explanation for what we see going on. Just wondered if you'd mind if I included that part.

7. Ah! I know what you mean, there are lots of "bootleg" videos out there

The thing is, they never do last that long. And I do share your frustrations, I often see some really great guests, on with Lawrence O'Donnell especially - and since I post what's available from him from MSNBC every night, I'm often disappointed since MSNBC doesn't make the segment with the guest I hoped to post available.

8. Yes, but the way I see it, they do a public service. MSNBC chokes content per the corporate bias.

MSNBC is so profit driven that it withholds access to shows to pressure for channel subscriptions. It cares more about profit than its shows' contents about serious national problems.

9. I've seen the "bootleg" videos and they're usually uploaded by those in foreign countries

For reasons that are a mystery to me. If you check out the other videos they've uploaded, they're usually in a foreign language. And for those labeled as "Rachel Maddow," they don't realize she's no longer on Tuesday-Friday. They've uploaded Alex Wagner, labeled as Rachel Maddow, or something else instead. And they rarely last out the day. I have no idea why they do it.

10. I hear you. Yes, there are foreign uploaders. They could be hackers interested in the content,

because I don't think they make a dent in MSNBC's corporate bottom line. Yes, MSNBC has them taken down because they can, and care not if information is important. Still, foreign posters spread information we need spread, while MSNBC prioritizes its profit.

I'll make inquiry with MSNBC about their content choking, see what they say.
