Trump is damaging the GOP brand. The midterms were an example. I submit there is hope for defections; it shouldn't take many and elections are two years away.

If the gop has the majority in the house, I look forward to Kevin and Jim spending an inordinate amount of time pissing off the majority of Americans as they have the last two years with their antics and rhetoric. Hey go for a federal ban on abortion. Stop the investigation of a serial lying moral degenerate, ruin the country’s credit rating. Vigorously attack Medicare and social security. Do you think anyone would notice? Gosh what a party ya got there Kevin. I think the conservative trash in the gop would rather not have the majority, because members of the party of responsibility knows what happens when they are held responsible for stuff.

And cause special elections, etc., back in their home states? Just wondering.

Hadn’t thought of that. Republicans probably have. They may soon be like the mesh bag of live crawfish ready to be pored into the boil. But by gawd with leaders like Kevin and Jim their patriotism will urge them on.

If any Republicans aided and abetted these charged to Trump, by

18 U.S. Code 1505 obstruction of proceedings, or
18 U.S. Code 2384 seditious conspiracy, by planning at the Willard Hotel, contacting Trump on days leading up to Jan 6, speaking at the Ellipse, or ...
18 U.S. Code 371 conspiracy to defraud the United States by aiding any of the fake electors, or ...
18 U.S. Code 1001 lying about status of government documents,

they might be charged with aiding and abetting those if Trump is also charged with actually doing any of that.

Of course no one would see any indication. No one but Garland can credibly indicate anything.

I'm just asking whether any congressional Republicans would have to remove themselves from the House or Senate if they were charged. It seems they'd have to lawyer up and devote themselves to their defense, or "cooperate."
