Important: Covid endothelial damage and why protective measures are still essential

Very sobering 12 minute presentation by a cardiologist on how Covid affects the microvasculature in all parts of the body. Worth the time to listen.

She is very worried about the long-term prospects of the more than 6 million people who've had Covid already. Mask up! You don't want any reinfections.

No one should EVER take a chance on becoming ill.

Wear that mask, especially when around large crowds - RSV, Flu, Covid - all good reasons.

That was the key part in my mind for those who need a reason to mask up.
For those who are suffering from Long Covid, she talks about diagnostic tests and treatments that are available but that many in the medical field are unaware of.

I've been hearing people speak the foolish notion that COVID is done. This even though China has recently locked down a whole city. There are reports of outbreaks in LA and other cities. The national press seem to think these are outliers, not indicators of another infection cycle. Evidently they have no awareness of remarks made previously by various experts that this would happen due to mutation of the original COVID strain, and knock-on effects of COVID survival.

As a COVID survivor (I was vaccinated) this report makes me wonder if I'll need to spend the rest of my life in social isolation to prevent a recurrence. It also worries me that I live in a state where the Governor, legislature and state officials are in denial about COVID, except where it has actually killed people. 1/3 of our population have had COVID and recovered. Based on this report I have to wonder if recovery was an appropriate term.

Was also fully vaxxed. I do feel like it reduced my lung capacity - get winded easily on walks.

I'm supposed to start substitute teaching soon - spending a lot of time researching best masks. Scares me to death, but I have to bring in more to cover expenses. Basically, risking my life to cover the rent.

Really bad choices...

Woman sounds legit and caring. I have read studies that make similar claims so maybe this will get more attention.

This is not over, I have had a couple of unexplained strokes ( I am fine....I think) which seem to be contestant with what is being explored here and elsewhere. One of many key take away for me is the idea that even if you had a case of Covid without symptoms, (in which case how would you know you had it) you could still be in store for issues going forward. I am not trying to scare anyone. Just warn. WTF

Please be safe.

I have had at least one nasty case of covid, and suspect I had a very early case as well. I was otherwise healthy and active, late 60's, but a lot has gone haywire in the last year and a half. Afib, hyperthyroidism, blood sugar a bit high, hormonal imbalance. It sucks. Feeling better, but a long ways to go...

The Gig is Up, and It Feels Weird
The German Minister of Public Health just confirmed what scientists have been trying to tell the world about Covid.

Jessica Wildfire

Jan 21

The mainstream news is spending a lot of time on Germany’s recent decision to scrap mask mandates on long train rides. There’s another story they probably won’t cover just yet, but it’s far more important. As German health minister Karl Lauterbach recently said during an interview with the Rheinische Post, multiple infections with Covid are causing “an immune deficiency that can no longer be cured.” He refers to studies, most of which I’ve gathered here.

There’s overwhelming evidence now that Covid infects and hijacks your immune cells. Researchers are still learning the details, but the takeaway is clear. Even just a couple of bouts with Covid can hamper your immune system for a long time, maybe permanently. It leaves you vulnerable to all other kinds of viral and bacterial infections. It leaves you open to fungal infections too, and those are especially dangerous. So the experts who tried to warn everyone were right the whole time, and the message is leaking out.

Wish it were from a better source, but perhaps that news is imminent
