Simple - don't steal and you won't get tazed

Note her holding her phone to get that network video for her groupies - unfair cops, let her alone.

If somebody is as flipped out as this woman is, THEY WILL MAKE IT WORSE and these fucking meathead cops justt kept doing it over and over and over again. This woman has a case that she was tortured, and yes, tasers can be fatal to some people.

Just try to tell me that these big, burly cops couldn't have gotten her cuffed if one of them hadn't been busy playing with his gadget and I'll laugh the walls down.

I don't care if she stole something or not. I don't care who she is or what her background might be. I care that some stupid jerk is so in love with his shock box that he neglected to pitch in to get her cuffed and into a patrol car that he ended up administering torture---on the suspicion that she had stolen something from a store.

There is something very, very wrong with this.

Nobody likes thieves, nobody likes shoplifters. However, procedure should have told them to Mrandize her, snag the phone, cuff her, get her into the cop car and off to the station for booking, letting her call family from the station. This is followed by arraignment, guilty plea or trial, and speding 12 hours a day for her next ten weekends picking garbage off the side of a highway, during which she will be encouraged to think about the stupidity that got her there.

At no point should she have been tortured. If that fucking meathead can't handle a taser, take it away from him. It's not a tranquilizer. It's not a shortcut. It's a slightly less lethal way to subdue an extremely violent suspect and if it doesn't work the first time, it's not going to work.

Simple - put your hands behind your back, don't struggle, don't scream - You got caught, go to jail.

Procedure goes out the window when you have assholes who don't really care to act in a civil way and who are wearing brass knuckles

“If they kick you, if they scratch you, if they bite you, you have to use appropriate force,” Glendale PD Officer Gina Winn said.

"You hear him there, tell her, ‘Hey, you’re getting tasered, put your hands behind your back, she says no,'” explained Winn. “Again you see that really quick outburst…instantly she puts her hands behind her back, instantaneously he takes off the taser.”

Police say she had a medical episode and was taken to the hospital. She has since been released and sent to prison.

The video was also reviewed by a manager who confirmed that there was no policy violation.

“He did everything we ask of our officers,” Winn said. “He gave clear orders, he was calm in his demeanor, he specifically told the test subject what he had to do, he told her that she would be tased if she didn’t comply. He also used reasonable force and called for medical help when needed.”

and had Meathead put his toy away and assisted, it would have been easy to get her arms behind her and into cuffs.

This is excessive to the point of torture. Their lives weren't in danger, nor were any other lives in danger.

This is ridiculous, regulation of those devices has been needed for years. Maybe this egregious example of irresponsible overuse will finally do that.

2-3 burly cops who can't subdue a skinny 20 something woman need to get into better shape.
